Kelanitissa Power Plant

The Kelanitissa Power Station is a power generation complex consisting of two separately owned facilities, located on the south bank of the Kelani River in the northern part of the city of Colombo, Sri Lanka. The entire power facility is capable of producing a total of nearly 500 MW of power at a given time, a significant amount when compared to the total installed capacity of nearly 3,150 MW in the year 2011.
