On Friday 29th September 2023, Reinhard OE7RGF/P, a radio amateur from Austria, reached the summit of Kerrachspitze and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 16 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.
