On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 10:29 UTC, Danny ON4VT a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with Toon ON/PD0RWL/P a radio amateur from the Netherlands who was operating from La Brouhire (ONFF-0680) on the 40m amateur radio band.
La Brouhire (ONFF-0680), is a nature reserve in eastern Belgium north of Liège and close to the border with the Netherlands. It is an important area for heather or ling which has adapted to the gravelly soil.
