On Friday 12th April 2024 at 09:06 UTC, Danny ON4VT, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Andreas LY/DM6DAT/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from Lapiø Geomorphological Reserve (DLFF-1066), on the 20m amateur radio band. Andreas made a total of 76 contacts while at the reserve.
Lapiø Geomorphological Reserve (LYFF-0124), is a protected area of 1108 hectares lying to the north-east of Kaunas, Lithuania.
The reserve was established in 1992 in order to protect and preserve the remaining fragments of the cornice formed in the glacial Moriane ridge in this region.
