On Thursday 13th October 2022, Hans HB9BQU/P and Juerg HB9BIN/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Le Catogne and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 37 contacts in total working on the 30 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Le Catogne is 2598 metres (8524 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
