On Saturday 15th July 2023, Arthur HB9CEV/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Leidhorn and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 65 contacts in total working on the 60m, 40m, 30m, 20m, 17m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Leidhorn is 2839 metres (9314 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
