Mansão do Caminho

Mansão do Caminho is the social work of the Centro Espírita Caminho da Redenção, located in Salvador, in the state of Bahia, having been founded on August 15, 1952 by the medium and spiritist speaker Divaldo Pereira Franco and his friend Nilson de Souza Pereira. Initially located in the Calçada neighborhood, it was transferred eight years after its creation to the Pau da Lima neighborhood.

The foundation was one of the pioneering entities in social assistance and humanized birth in the city of Salvador,although in 2023 it decided to interrupt labor due to low demand. By the end of the 1980s, almost 700 children and teenagers had lived in the Mansion. At that time, the foundation changed its teaching practices to adapt to modern pedagogical methodologies.
