On Tuesday 6th June 2023, Carol K5TFL, a radio amateur from Estancia, NM reached the summit of Manzano Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Carol (YL) made 32 contacts in total working on the 40m, 20m, 15m and 10m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Manzano Peak is 3078 metres (10098 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
