On Saturday 16th July 2022 Matthew W4GO a radio amateur from Midland, VA reached the summit of Marsh Hill and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 21 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40, 20 and 15 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Marsh Hill is 942 metres (3091 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
