On Thursday 18th May 2023, 7l1CAK/7, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Mikurayama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 8 contacts in total working on the 70cm amateur radio band.
The summit of Mikurayama is 1888 metres (6194 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
