On Friday 27th October 2023, Kei JA1CTC/P, a radio amateur from Japan, reached the summit of Takakurayama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 13 contacts in total working on the 40m amateur radio band.
The summit of Takakurayama is 1638 metres (5374 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
The summit of Takakurayama is in the Fukushima Prefecture on Honshu Island.
