On Sunday 31st July 2022 Kiyotaka JJ1PIG/1 a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Mitsukabeyama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 16 contacts in total working on the 70 cm UHF ant the 40 and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
