On Sunday 23rd July 2023, Vittorio IK1RAC & I1WKN/P, two radio amateurs from Italy reached the summit of Monte la Bianca and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 71 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 2m, 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Monte la Bianca is 2746 metres (9009 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
