On Saturday 13th August 2022, Bjoern I2/DL7RAY/P a radio amateur from Germany reached the summit of Monte Sobretta and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 17 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
