On Saturday 24th September 2022, Marc AA1F, a radio amateur from Natick, MA reached the summit of Mount Garfield and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 11 contacts in total working on the 20 metre HF amateur radio band.
The summit of Mount Garfield is 1372 metres (4501 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
