On Wednesday 29th June 2022 Fred WX1S a radio amateur from Strafford, NH reached the summit of Mount Moriah and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 24 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and 40, 30, 20, and 17 metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mount Moriah is 1234 metres (4049 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
