On Friday 7th June 2024, Brian NM5BG, a radio amateur from Albuquerque, NM reached the summit of Mount Taylor and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
Brian made 36 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Mount Taylor is 3445 metres (11302 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
