On Saturday 7th January 2023, Waz VK3BYD/P, a radio amateur from the state of Victoria, Australia reached the summit of Mt Loch and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 11 contacts in total working on the 40, 30 and 20 metre VHF amateur radio bands.
