On Saturday 1st April 2023, Marcus VK3TST, a radio amateur from the state of Queensland reached the summit of Mt Murray and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 18 contacts in total working on the 20m and 15m amateur radio bands.
