On Friday 29th March 2024 at 16:08 UTC, Ralf DD0VE, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Wojtek SP9LPK/P, a radio amateur from Poland, who was operating from Natura 2000 Trzciana (SPFF-1896), on the 40m amateur radio band.

Natura 2000 Trzciana (SPFF-1896)[Reed], is a protected area of 2330.4300 hectares located in the county of Krosno in the Subcarpathia Voivodeship in the south-east of Poland. It was designated in 2009 as a Special Habitat Protection Area and is part of the Natura 2000 network.

Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.

Wojtek was at the summit of Chyrowa (695 metres asl) while he was at the reserve and made a total of 47 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
