On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 11:42 UTC, Mario DJ2MX a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Paul DL6FBK/P a radio amateur also from Germany who was operating from Nature Park Weserbergland (DLFF-0131) on the 40m amateur radio band.
Weerribben-Wieden (PAFF-009), is a protected area of 1,006 hectares of land north west of Hamelin in Germany. It was designated as a Special Protection Area (Birds Directive) in 2007. The area is intended to protect the Eagle Owl population in the area.
