On Friday 29th March 2024 at 10:03 UTC, Fred DL9DXL, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Paul DL6FBK/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from the Nature Reserve/Biosphere Swabian Alb (DLFF-0034), on the 40m amateur radio band. Paul made a total of 71 contacts while at the reserve.
Nature Reserve/Biosphere Swabian Alb (DLFF-0034), is a protected area of 3 hectares lying south of Stuttgart in the south of Germany. In 2009 the centre of the larger Geopark in which it is situated became part of UNESCO's "Man and the Biosphere" program ("MAB").
