On Wednesday 27th March 2024 at 10:42 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM, a radio amateur from Croatia, made contact with Flo DL8ECA/P, a radio amateur from Germany, who was operating from NSG Königsforst Bergisch Gladbach (DLFF-1013), on the 20m amateur radio band. Flo made a total of 255 contacts while at the reserve.
NSG Königsforst Bergisch Gladbach (DLFF-1013), is a protected area of 2,517 hectares located in North Rhine Westphalia to the east of Cologne In Germany. It was designated in 2008 under the EU Special Areas of Conservation (Habitats Directive) and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
IUCN Management Category IV areas are areas to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
