On Thursday 21st March at 17:12 UTC, Jürgen ON3UA a radio amateur from Belgium made contact with Alex DL2GWZ, a radio amateur from Germany who was operating from the NSG Schwarzwassertal (DLFF-0484) on the 40m amateur radio band.
NSG Schwarzwassertal (DLFF-0484), is a protected area of 186 hectares lying in the Central Ore Mountains around the course of the Black Pockau river. It was designated as a Nature Reserve in 2003 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
An IUCN Management Category IV area Is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
