On Friday 29th October 2022, Aleksander S57S/P, a radio amateur from Slovenia reached the summit of Ojstrica and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 45 contacts in total working on the 70cm UHF, 2 metre VHF and the 30 and 20metre HF amateur radio bands.
The summit of Ojstrica is 2350 metres (7710 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
