Located next to the Santa Casa de Misericórdia, the Church of Senhor Bom Jesus dos Perdões attracts the attention of anyone passing through Praça Rui Barbosa. The foundation stone of the church was laid in June 1907. The bells and clock in the central tower came from Germany and were installed in 1933. Another relic of the church is a pipe organ, also German, containing flutes measuring five to six centimeters. meters long and installed in the building's choir. From the 1960s onwards, successive renovations caused the building to lose part of its original characteristics, such as the paintings with floral motifs, which were later recovered in the restoration carried out in the 1990s.
