On Sunday 24th March 2024 at 08:55 UTC, Fred DL8DX, a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Julio EA6APL, a radio amateur from Spain who was operating from the summit of Penyal des Migdia which is in Paraje Natural Serra de Tramuntana (EAFF-0430) on the 20m amateur radio band. Julio made a total of 67 contacts while he was at the summit of Penyal des Migdia.
Paraje Natural Serra de Tramuntana (EAFF-0430), is a protected area of 63,084.00 hectares located in the north of Mallorca, Spain.
The reserve has a range of diverse landscapes: which include oak forests, pine forests, and agricultural areas with olive groves. There is a rich variety of endemic flora and fauna species in the reserve.
