On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 11:36 UTC, Juerg HB9BIN/P a radio amateur from Switzerland made contact with Nick HB9DDZ a radio amateur also from Switzerland who was operating from Park of Jura Aargau (AG) (HBFF-0010) on the 20m amateur radio band.

Weerribben-Wieden (PAFF-009), is a protected area of 24,100 hectares of land north west of Zurich on the border with Germany between the rivers Aare and Rhine. It was designated as a regional nature park of national importance in 2012 by the Federal Office for the Environment.

The park is largely located on the Jurassic Plateau, between Villigen and Frick. It also includes the Aargau Jura mountains and valleys. The northern part of the park has sparse pine forests, rocky steppes, dry meadows, fruit orchards and terraced vineyards. In the south there are extensive forest which are rich in wildlife.
