On Saturday 6th April 2024 at 06:34 UTC, Fred DL8DXL, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with Tim EA8/G5OLD/P, a radio amateur from the UK, who was operating from the Parque Natural Pilancones (EAFF-0071), on the 20m amateur radio band.
Parque Natural Pilancones (EAFF-0071)[Pilancones Natural Park], is a protected area of 5,794.4 hectares located in the south of the island of Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands. The area was designated as a Natural Park in 1987.
