On Sunday 31st March 2024 at 15:30 UTC, Jacek SQ8IJR, a radio amateur from Poland, made contact with Maciej LX/SP1FM/P, a radio amateur from Poland, who was operating from Pellembierg-Froumbierg-Greivemaacherbierg (LXFF-0052), on the 40m amateur radio band. Maciej made a total of 18 contacts while at the reserve.
Pellembierg-Froumbierg-Greivemaacherbierg (LXFF-0052), is a protected area of 443.3 hectares located in the east of Luxembourg. It was designated in 2004 as a Site of Community Interest under the EU Habitats Directive and is part of the Natura 2000 network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
