On Thursday 21st July 2022 a group of French radio amateurs using the callsign TM1SOTA reached the summit of Petit Rochebrune and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group. The special callsign “TM1SOTA” was being used to mark the occasion of the 15th anniversary of SOTA.

They made 32 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF and the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.

The summit of Petit Rochebrune is 3078 metres (10098 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
