On Saturday 5th August 2023, Patrice F4ESK/P & Fab F4JAI/P, two radio amateurs from France, reached the summit of Pic de Château Renard and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

They made 25 contacts in total working on the 2m, 40m and 20m amateur radio bands.

The summit of Pic de Château Renard is 2989 metres (9806 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
