On Saturday 2nd July 2022 Szymon WV0X a radio amateur from Denver, CO reached the summit of Pettingell Peak and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 9 contacts in total working on the 2 metre VHF amateur radio band.
The summit of Pettingell Peak is 4131 metres (13553 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA groups database.
