On Sunday 1st October 2023, Jo F/I1WKN/P, a radio amateur from Italy, reached the summit of Pointe de Marte and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 66 contacts in total working on the 70cm, 2m, 6m, 40m, 20m and 17m amateur radio bands.
