On Wednesday 21st June 2023, Arthur HB9CEV/P and Juerg HB9BIN/P, two radio amateurs from Switzerland reached the summit of Piz Kesch/ Piz d'Es-cha and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
They made 56 contacts in total working on the 40m, 30m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Piz Kesch/ Piz d'Es-cha is 3418 metres (1214 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
