On Saturday 13th August 2022, Arthur HB9CEV/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Piz Malmurainza and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 46 contacts in total working on the 60, 40, 30, 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
