On Tuesday 26th March 2024 at 17:38 UTC, Eddy ON3EA, a radio amateur from Belgium, made contact with Honza OK1PLI/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic, who was operating from PP Bahna (OKFF-1213), on the 40m amateur radio band. Honza made a total of 79 contact while at the Nature Monument.
PP Bahna (OKFF-1213), is a protected area of 18 hectares located to the south of Pardubice in the east of the Czech Republic. It was designated in 1990 as a Nature Monument and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.
IUCN Management Category IV areas are areas to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
