On Friday 22nd March 2024 at 13:30 UTC, Jacey SQ8IJR, a radio amateur from Poland made contact with OK2OA/P, a radio amateur from the Czech Republic who was operating from PP Cigánské zmoly (OKFF-2347) on the 40m amateur radio band. OK2OA/P made a total of 63 contact while in the reserve.

PP Cigánské zmoly (OKFF-2347), is a protected area of 6 hectares on the site of some old limestone quarries located between the villages of Krčman and Grygov in the Olomouc district in the Czech Republic. It was designated as a Nature Monument in 2002 and is an IUCN Management Category IV area.

An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
