On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 10:22 UTC, Juerg HB9BIN/P a radio amateur from Switzerland made contact with Jiri OK2JIO/P a radio amateur from the Czech Republic who was operating from PP Moravska Dyje (OKFF-1868) on the 40m amateur radio band. Mila made 78 contacts in total while he was in the park.
PP Moravska Dyje (OKFF-1868), is a nature monument of 258 hectares along the banks of The Moravian Dyje river north east of Slavonice in the Czech Republic. It was designated in 1970 and is an IUCN Management Category III area.
An IUCN Management Category III area is set aside to protect a specific natural monument which in this case includes the Loucký mlýn (Meadow Mill) water mill in the Staré Hobzí.
