On Sunday 24th March 2024 at 10:30 UTC, Fred DL8DXL, a radio amateur from Germany made contact with Olaf (DL7CX) using the call-sign OK8CX/P, a radio amateur from Germany who was operating from PP Rotava (OKFF-2229) on the 40m amateur radio band. Olaf made a total of 66 contact while he was at the reserve.

PP Rotava (OKFF-2229), is a protected Natural Monument located north of the town of Rotava in the north-west of the Czech Republic.The protection was declared in 1978 on a mass of columnar basalt, known as the 'Rotava organ'. The basalt mass is an IUCN Management Category IV area.

An IUCN Management Category IV area is an area to protect particular species or habitats and are managed to prioritise this objective.
