On Wednesday 20th March 2024 at 14:24 UTC, Zdenko 9A4FM a radio amateur from Croatia made contact with Anton OM1AEG/P a radio amateur from the Slovak Republic who was operating from PP Vyvieracka pod Bacharkou (OMFF-0104) on the 40m amateur radio band.
PP Vyvieracka pod Bacharkou (OMFF-0104), is a protected area of 4 hectares of land. It was designated as a Nature Monument/ Private Nature Monument in 1982 and is an IUCN Management Category III area.
An IUCN Management Category III area is set aside to protect a specific natural monument which in this case is a karst hot spring.
