Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant

The Pueblo Chemical Agent-Destruction Pilot Plant was built to built to destroy the chemical weapons stockpile at the Pueblo Chemical Depot, primarily mustard agents, also known as sulfur mustards, but more popularly known as mustard gas. The Pueblo Chemical Depot has a stockpile of several thousend tons of mustard agent in storage. Mustard gas was originally developped by Wilhelm Steinkopf during World War One for the German Army.
