On Monday 25th July 2022 Marcel HB9TWM/P a radio amateur from Switzerland reached the summit of Punta Negra and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 27 contacts in total working on the 40 and 20 metre HF amateur radio bands.
