On Thursday 10th August 2023, Richard OE5FFE/P, a radio amateur from Austria, reached the summit of Reitereck and became the first to activate this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
He made 14 contacts in total working on the 2m and 20m amateur radio bands.
The summit of Reitereck is 2790 metres (9154 feet) asl. It has a rating of 10 points on the SOTA group database.
