Saentisgebiet Natural Monument, SG part (HBFF-0389)

On Saturday 6th April 2024 at 08:20 UTC, Ben DL5OAB, a radio amateur from Germany, made contact with HB9LCY/P, a radio amateur from Switzerland, who was operating from the Saentisgebiet Natural Monument, SG part (HBFF-0358), on the 40m amateur radio band.

The Saentisgebiet Natural Monument, SG part (HBFF-0358), is a protected area, located in the St. Gallen Canton, to the south of the city of St. Gallen in Switzerland. It has reference number 1612 on the Federal Inventory of Landscapes and Natural Monuments maintained by the Federal Office for the Environment (FOEN).

HB9LCY/P was at the summit of Gemeinenwis (1817 metres asl) while he was at the reserve and made a total of 39 contacts for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.
