The Basílica i Temple Expiatori de la Sagrada Família (bəˈzilikə ðə lə səˈɣɾaðə fəˈmiljə]; Basílica de la Sagrada Familia; 'Basilica of the Holy Family'), is a church in the Eixample district of Barcelona, and is currently the world's largest unfinished Catholic church. Designed by the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudí, his work on the building is part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site (inscribed as such in 1984, with a 2005 extension). On 11/7/2010, Pope Benedict XVI consecrated the church and proclaimed it a minor basilica.
