Samuel Adams (1722-October 2, 1803) was a leader of the of the American Revolution. Adams opposed British taxes and policies as early as the 1760's and printed an anti-Britain political newspaper. Sam is seen as a controversial figure during his time. Some historians believe he was a master of propaganda and provoked mobs, while other historians feel he steadily guided the colonies to revolution. Adams was involved in the Continental Congress in Philadelphia in 1774, helped guide the Declaration of Independence, helped with drafting the Articles of Confederation and the Massachusetts Constitution. Sam Adams truly earned a spot on the founding fathers list.
