On Thursday 21st March 2024 at 13:19 UTC, OK1KEB a radio amateur from the Czech Republic made contact with Toon PD0RWL/P a radio amateur from the Netherlands who was operating from Sarsven en De Banen (PAFF-0180) on the 20m amateur radio band. Zoli made 86 contacts in total while he was in the park.
Sarsven en De Banen (PAFF-0180), is a protected area of 154 hectares of protected land south east of Nederweert in the southeast of the Netherlands. It was designated as a Special Area of Conservation (Habitats Directive) in 2013 and is part of the Natura 2000 Network.
Natura 2000 aims to protect many of Europe's most vulnerable and threatened habitats and species.
