On Sunday 25th June 2023, Kiichi JS2VVH/2, a radio amateur from Japan reached the summit of Sasayama and activated this summit on the amateur radio bands for the Summits on the Air (“SOTA”) group.

He made 10 contacts in total working on the 40m and 15m amateur radio bands.
