In 1987, Japan-born Satoru Nakajima raced this Honda-powered Lotus 99T in his rookie Formula One season. He finished 7th in the drivers points standings with a best race result of 4th at Silverstone.

This car is on display at the Honda Collection Hall at the Twin Ring Motegi.
